The Eid Al Adha holidays in the UAE are approaching, prompting headaches for many shippers

Be prepared, ship in advance.

Eid Al Adha 2019

In 2019 Eid Al Adha is likely to fall on Sunday, August 11, according to the International Astronomical Centre (IAC) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It is expected, but not confirmed yet, that the Eid Al Adha Holidays for the private and public sectors in the UAE will begin on Saturday, August 10, and could continue until Tuesday, August 13 at a minimum.

Possible delays

Eid Al Adha Holidays might cause disruption to normal delivery schedules. On occasion of the Eid Al Adha celebrations, all Ministries Government and Public Organisation Head Offices in all GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries will be closed. Customs offices of the respective countries will be equipped with skeleton staff only. Please note that temporary delays in the traffic may occur even after this period.
